About the treatment
Mesotherapy is a non surgical skin rejuvenation treatment aimed at diminishing problem areas on the face and body. Mesotherapy treatment can be used for face, neck and under eye rejuvenation and also for common concerns such as hair thinning. Mesotherapy treatments involve injecting Hyaluronic Acid directly into the mesoderm (middle layer of the skin). This nourishes and rejuvenates the skin by promoting the production of collagen and elastin and stimulates your skin’s metabolism. Using Mesotherapy for over 10 years at our accredited award winning Laser and Skin Clinic our clients have described their skin as looking ‘plumper, hydrated, radiant, glowing and firmer’ after a course of mesotherapy injections.
How much does treatment cost?
Mesotherapy prices will vary and depends on the size of the area treated and amount of product used. Pricing starts from €150 per treatment. Discounts on packages are also available with Buy 3 Get 1 Free.
How does Mesotherapy work?
- The procedure involves tiny superficial injections of Hyaluronic Acid directly into the epidermis and mesoderm (middle layer) this helps to nourish and rejuvenate, boost cell activity and stimulate the production of collagen and elastin.
- After a course of Mesotherapy injections your skin will look hydrated, glowing, radiant and firmer.
- For Mesotherapy to be most effective a course of 4-6 treatments are recommended at 2-4 week intervals
- There may be some superficial swelling and signs of tiny needle marks after treatment which will settle in 24-48 hours. This may take a little longer around the eye area so clients may need a little recovery time.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy is a procedure in which multiple micro-injections are delivered into the mesodermal layer of tissue under the skin to restore plumpness and volume to areas such as the face, eye area, neck and décolletage. At our award winning Laser and Skin Clinics we use RRS, the purest Hyaluronic Acid for Mesotherapy on the market today.
How long does the treatment take?
Local anesthetic is applied for approximately 30 minutes before your treatment to ensure client comfort. The Mesotherapy treatment itself takes between 30-60 minutes.
What skin conditions can be treated with Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy injections can treat an array of skin conditions such as ageing skin, superficial lines and wrinkles, under eye area, hair thinning, stretch marks and hair thinning. To find out which Mesotherapy treatment is suited to your individual skin concerns please see the table below for guidance.
Does the treatment hurt?
We apply local anesthetic approximately 30 minutes prior to your Mesotherapy treatment so you will experience no pain or discomfort.
How long does treatment take?
Prior to treatment topical anesthetic cream will be applied for 30-40 minutes. Mesotherapy treatment times may vary and depend on size of the area being treated and range from 20-45 minutes.
Who can perform Mesotherapy treatment?
As Mesotherapy is a medical skin treatment it must be performed by a medical practitioner. With locations across Ireland clients can book Mesotherapy Dublin, Athlone and Mullingar clinics.
What can I expect during my treatment?
Multiple micro-injections using a very fine needle are administered into the mesoderm beneath the surface of the skin. The aim is to replace the hyaluronic acid that is lost as we age.
What can I expect after my treatment?
It is recommended that you have some time to recover after your Mesotherapy treatment. You will experience some superficial swelling, which will settle within 24-48 hours. Although rare, other possible side effects include the appearance of some small needle marks which will also resolve within a few days. Treatment around the eye area may take longer to settle – possibly 5-7 days.
Is Mesotherapy treatment safe?
‘Best Clinic Ireland’ Award winners, Twachaa Skin Clinic is also a Save Face Accredited clinic so you can be assured you are in safe hands when having treatment with us. We use RRS, a Hyaluronic Acid CE class III injectable product which is the purest Hyaluronic Acid for Mesotherapy. As Hyaluronic Acid is naturally found in the skin, and depletes naturally as we get older, it is completely safe to inject into the mesoderm and provides a very effective rejuvenation treatment for clients.
How long will the results last?
For optimum results, we recommend a course of 4-6 treatments of Mesotherapy. Once you complete the recommended course, the results can last from 12-18 months.
Can I combine other anti-ageing treatments with Mesotherapy?
Mesotherapy can be used with additional rejuvenation treatments such as Laser Rejuvenation, Anti-Wrinkle Injections, and Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP). We normally advise our clients to leave intervals of 2-3 weeks between Mesotherapy treatments for best results.
